COMPANY HISTORY |
|
It is our relentless pursuit to
give all customers the personal attention they depend upon
so that we may provide them with the most satisfying
experience possible in our Sales, Service, and Parts
Departments during each visit to Chrysler of Culpeper.
Chrysler of Culpeper has been serving the Piedmont area
since 1996, but the story of the company and the family
behind it started long before. In the early 1920s, brothers
George and Al Wasserman opened a gas and service station in
Arlington, Virginia. While serving their customers'
automotive needs, George and Al began offering the new
technology of crystal radios. As the business grew, the two
ventures outgrew their location and the brothers separated
to start Al's Motors, Inc. and George's Radio, later to
become George's Radio and TV.
Al and his wife Bertha soon transformed the service station
into an automobile dealership, selling and servicing new
Chryslers by the end of the decade. |

As the automobile industry grew, Al's Motors grew with it,
moving the company to a new state-of-the-art building at the
corner of Wilson and Pollard in 1949. During the 1950s and
1960s, Al's Motor's became one of the premier dealerships in
Northern Virginia and the second generation had started
working at the dealership with Sonny and Dorothy Schick
managing the company. The company continued to serve the
community with Chryslers and Plymouths into the early
2000's, along the way bringing in the third generation of
automobile dealers, their sons Wade and Rory. Rory opened
Manassas Chrysler Plymouth in 1984 and in 1996, Wade and his
wife, Laura, moved to Culpeper to open Chrysler of Culpeper,
offering the full lines of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram
Truck.
Since opening in 1996, Wade Schick’s Chrysler of Culpeper
has had one simple goal…to treat our customers the way we
would want to be treated. It has grown from only thirteen
employees to nearly triple that number. Over the years,
Chrysler of Culpeper has increased its inventory of new and
pre-owned vehicles to afford each customer with a great
selection. In the service department additions have been
made to the number of Chrysler and ASE Certified technicians
as well as new technologies to service our customers’
maintenance and repair needs through the life of their
vehicles. With the company’s most recent change, Chrysler of
Culpeper is proud to announce its new Body Shop capable of
repairs including minor collision and paint, windshield chip
repair and paintless dent repair.
